I grew up in Albuquerque, While I was in grade school the movie was shown to us in class. I must have been in the 4th or 5th grade. I am 43 now and the memories of the movie are still just as strong. I would love to find it for my own kids to watch.
I am rereading the book again. This was a great movie with a great message. I still remember how he gave his medals away The one little girl that had braces on her legs and how he taught her to make the face toscare the pain away.
Lastima que no se pueda ver toda la pelicula completa, es realmente muy conmovedora; me gustaria saber como puedo conseguirla y tenerla en mi coleccion de peliculas.

@SHC87 I also have read the book and have seen John Bakers last race as well as this movie
John was a very imspirational and good person I only wish others knew about John Baker
I have found his story far more inspirational than the well known Terry Fox

this was one of the greatest movies ever made. it was about a real man who's life came to an end way to early.
