Why would you even compare the two??????? Cliff Burton is one of the best heavy metal bassists hands down! And Pete Wentz is a pretty good rock bassist. But compare these two is like comparing a, .308 rifle round to a .9mm pistol round... Doesn't make any sense!

@leifericson923 as in real world I mean other genres of music as well. He didn't seem very versatile, but what do I know I'm just a session bassist.

Cliff isn't that good sorry. Maybe for that genre he is good, but in the real world he is about average. Pete Wentz isn't that good either. IMO

Seriously... why would you even try to compare these two? I love Fall Out Boy and think Pete Wentz is great and all... But Cliff Burton is one of the best bassists EVER! Kinda unfair to Pete to compare him to someone like this. Besides, Pete's real talent is writing lyrics.

Not that I really care but I have to point out that Pete Wentz survived the bus crash while Cliffy didn't make it. But that's beside the point, you're comparing two completely different styles: the PW vid is the shittiest quality possible while the CB vid is a rip from Cliff 'Em All.
