Romance. Music. Geordie-style. Just want to point out that yes, I KNOW my Geordie accent isn't perfect, I'm from Teesside so it's just a comedic approximation. Also, the video is NOT meant to offend Geordies. It's a jokey song, not a serious study of the mating habits of the Newcastle populous. Got that?

@domh As a NBA drinker for over 40 years I've never used the phrases 'Broon Dog' or ' Newcy Brown'------ These are simply words invented by TV ad writers in the 1970's----- I just ask for a bottle of Brown Ale.

My thoughts? Well, my thoughts are that the character is a stereotypical misogynistic, brainless Geordie, who we're supposed to laugh at, not with. He's a cartoon character to be mocked, in much the same way that Sid The Sexist is. He is in no way representative of the majority of good, well-adjusted Tyneside folk, but rather a grotesque facsimile of a thin vein of British society that still very-much exists today.
Why? What're your thoughts like?
