@HixsonLibra you know why you don't produce oil? Because no one sane will pay for the same price when your oil comes witn diplomacy and crap. People rather just pay for something and forget about it without the political attachments. The US also made deals to buy middle eastern oil.

Poverty is huge here in the US. Also, we have the largest drug porblem in the world, and prison system, and restrictive laws (land of the free and democratic huh), and gangbangers (some cities have em on every block), more cops than any other nation who treat even US children as terrorists,To top the cake we also have the biggest assholes with no respect to any other citizen that has to share the same sidewalk(really some wont even move to the side to let you pass). Who knows? It is probably the same ability that allows the US Government to support pro-US dictators, while championing democracy to other nation who incidentally are not pro-US.

Really it is all about politics and the bottom line. As long as it benefit US, we don't care who you are or what you do. If your activities threaten US interest, you are going down, even if you are the Pope or the next Ghandi.
