Finland Telefunken FA1010. Here we have the rare Hootenanny Singers' recording of the old Ukrainian love song. It is unusual because it was only recorded and released in the Finnish language, unlike the boy's other international records, which usually had a Swedish release as well. Enjoy!

  • @Lanamercer Yes, it's a Soviet Russian song, and they are singing it in Finnish.

  • Katiusha is not a folk song, and it is not Ukrainian - it is Soviet song, the original words were written in Russian language by Mishail Isakovsliy in 1938, music by Matvey Blanter. The words of the song were translated into many languages including Ukrainian

  • Puuttaa tarkoittaa liittämistä, kiinnittämistä.

  • I learned this in Swedish in 1st grade. epletre og pæretre sto hvite... (not Swedish, this is Norwegian) All I remember

  • It song is NOT UKRAINIAN? You are fullish. HO HO HO Ukrainian classic. On wich language is original text? Katjusa is Russian female name, and it is RUSSIAN song. Where that song singing, in Kiew are Moscow. Chek it in You Tube. FF / Funny Finland
