THE LONELY MAN is perhaps he who understands not
His own emotions, feelings, intimate thoughts

A man caught in the whirlwind...of corporeal goals
With all the material riches. But perhaps still...an impoverished soul

Too caught up to listen, thus he hears not so well
the voice within, which speaks and so does tell

His sadness, despairs. His hopes and desires. And all dreams too
But only in lone reflection, will a voice whisper a tell-tale story true

For him to understand...

That it is the very person so inside
Who echoes loudest, a truer happiness that can never be denied

A tranquility sequestered within the very core
to quieten the mind, and then restore

The happiness that already so prevails
Regardless of outside circumstances that may derail

And as such...

The lonely man stands but not alone
For in his self...is all well known

A serenity within his very heart
To take the lonely nights apart

And put together...himself again...

And then....

A lonely man he will be not
Only...
A solitary soul, with which has but only sought...
