Burning Up: A Jonas Love Story Chapter 2

Kevin Jonas threw open the doors to the KWE radio station. They had just finished their interview with Dj Jamz. He was exhausted, and the fact that his brothers were bickering behind him wasn't helping. He had a major headache and his temples felt like they were going to explode. And what was worse, was that they had a concert today, in Orlando, at 7:30. He pushed his hand through his side-swept, black hair and unlocked his forest green Jeep. He got inside and waited fo his brothers to get in.

Nick was explaining something about his age and Joe was listening "So is it suposed to be like this: I'm sixteen, and i'm going to start my Junior year at Greywood, and you're turning eighteen, in two month in August, and you're starting your Senior year over at Greywood. So is that our right age for everything?" Joe thought about what Nick said, while Nick scratched his head and made sure he said everything right.

Joe nodded "Yea, i think that's right. Hey, you actually remembered, my birthday is next month, on the fifteenth by the way."

Nick smiled and pointed to his temple "That's 'cause i'm smart like that."

Joe opened his mouth to argue, but Kevin interupted him "Okay, guys, get in 'cause it'll be November and i'll be twenty-one by the time you get to the car. Plus I have a huge headache." Nick nodded and walked to the car followed by his other older brother.

The ride back to the hotel they were staying at, was quiet, with nothing but the sound of the wind blowing past them. Nick was in the backseat and found himself think of his ex-girlfriend, Tatianna. She had broken up with him on her birthday, and was all over another guy the same exact day. His brothers helped him out and told him to get over her, he did, but he didn't want to forget her. He let the wind blow through his curly brown hair as he thought about what it would be like to still be with his blonde-haired, green-eyed ex.

Joe wasn't enjoying the wind and was holding his hair down "Kev, please put the top over." Joe finally let go of his hair as the convertible top came up. Nick laughed and watched Joe admire himself in the sideview mirror, it made him laugh even harder


Jasmine got back to her house with Roxxi behind her "Roxxi, hurry up come on we gotta pack then check to see if they've aired the interview!"

Roxxi hustled up the stairs "I still don't know why we couldn't listen to on your car radio."


Jasmine looked at Roxxi and smiled "Mary called me and wanted to talk about Matt, remember?"

Roxxi gave her a fake smile and threw her bags on Jasmine's bed. Jasmine turned on the radio in time to hear "Well, we just finished the Jonas Brothers interview, but don't go away yet, we're going to play another new song from their new album. So stay tuned."

Jasmine turned off the radio and looked at Roxxi "We missed it!" Roxxi shrugged her shoulders and started to pack her clothes.


Kevin opened the hotel door and let his brothers and himself into their Master Suite, a three bedroom, one bathroom, one kitchen, and one sitting room suite. He watched his brothers scramble to the table behind the couch. They had stopped at Mcdonalds on their way back, because Joe was so hungry he could eat the New York Zoo, or that's how he put it. But Kevin didn't blame him they had been at that station since six in the morning and they hadn't left till now, at ten. And to add to that they hadn't eaten breakfast.

Joe took a sip of his orange juice and looked up at Kevin "Are you going to eat or not?"

Kevin looked down at his food and nodded "Yea, but i was thinking we should start heading to The House of Blues later around one."

Nick looked at Kevin "Why, we just got here?" Kevin walked over to the the table and joined his brothers.

Joe answered Nick's question "We have a concert today, remember?"

Nick slapped his forehead "I totally forgot!"

Joe smiled and looked at Kevin "Why so early? The concert starts at 7:30."


Kevin took a bite out of his McMuffin and answered his question "We have to do some sound checks and we need to rehearse some songs." Kevin looked at Nick, who was shoving a hash brown into his mouth "Sorry Nick, but your getting squeaky."

Nick opened his mouth at the insult "Am not!" He looked at Joe "Am i?"

Joe nodded slightly "Kinda." Nick stayed quiet the rest of the fast-food meal and listened to his brother's plan for the night.
