Grand Theft Auto IV on GeForce 8600gt

This is GTAIV running on my little geforce 8600gt :D
The game is more CPU intensive than GPU and takes advantage of 3/4 cores. It's very bad optimized for PC.

Using these options

Texture Quality: Medium
Render Quality: Medium
View Distance: 10
Detail Distance: 10
Vehicle Density: 15
Shadow Density: 0

I got 17-28 fps in 1024x768, 10-17 with fraps.
In 800x600 20-33 fps.

Used GTAIV Magic Patcher to edit timecyc.dat and changed the overall view distance to 750 (default 1500, totally insane) for a minimal boost in fps.

My Specs:
Motherboard: ASUS M2N-SLI
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ 2.9GHz
GPU: XFX GeForce 8600 GT 512mb (NO OC)
Ram: 2gb
Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 (x86)
Xbox 360 Controller: Yes

A Windows 7 PC with Intel Core i7 2600K "Sandy Bridge" CPU and 8 GB RAM should be able to pump out at least 30 FPS in 1920x1080 resolution running on integrated graphics, I think. May possibly be over 240 FPS when combined with the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 580, though.

Ps3 has and amd 1950 graphics card and it runs so smooth at 720p.

Xbox 360 has an nvidia 7900 so booth have an very old and slow card.

It is all caused by the optimation and the fact that the consoles are closed devices.
