Thought about this a while back: the engine is pure "Black (Forest) Death" - it's another typically muscular (rather than ´lazy´), tight, metallic and full of attitude German V8 & was originally used as bog standard in the E39 (in my opinion, the best ever:) M5... I know MANY won't see eye-to-eye with me but: I'm entitled to my opinions!... BUT - JUST IMAGINE!! what would happen if the same engine was put in an M5 E39? dare to dream?? Cos we all know that the Z8 Chassis is no match for an E39 M5

@rayd408 Z3 and Z3M were practically faster than z8 even with the 3.2 L6...and this 5.0v8 was already for the M5, it didn t have any sense to put it on M3 while the GTR was already equipped with a 4.0 V8 lighter and with the same power..
