If you have always admired the look of step bars on other vehicles but felt they would be too difficult to install on yours - think again. Each vehicle uses custom brackets and this video will illustrate how easy the installation is. It is time for you to add these high quality after market step bars to your vehicle, it is time for people to look at your vehicle with envy!

These brackets are only made for the tube steps and we will show you how they go on. One of the first things you want to do is take the brackets themselves and distribute them around the vehicle in their respective spots. The first step to installing these is to remove the body bolts, there are four of these, two in the front and two in the rear. We will take those down and show you what happens. The bracket will install in the same spot like this, then we add the bolt and there will be another thick washer to replace the factory one. Now we thread it all back together. Once you have it started, just go ahead and snug it up. What happens next is we have to create a space for our bracket here and note these holes in the body are taped up. Sometimes there are grommets in the too.

We just have to take out the one so if there is a grommet just pull it out, since there is tape here we will just make a slit in it and install our hardware. For our hardware we just have to slip on this plastic washer here just half way and then stick the metal bracket here inside the hole. The plastic washer keeps everything from falling inside. Next the support bracket slides over and gets bolted into place. On this vehicle it is a pretty similar process all the way around. The front bracket installs just the same. Now just repeat for the other side. Next we can install the tube step of your choice, we will just lay it on there and push it back and forth until you have it centered the way you want it. The hold down bracket gets set inside the tube and let it fall back down and push it over the bracket. We do the same for the back side. Next make sure you have the tube set the way you want it, now we will install the hardware. Once you are happy, now we will tighten the brackets to the frame. That finishes our install of part # 22-1015, our Westin Tube Steps.
