Joining Riz Khan is Mike Gravel, a former senator from Alaska who ran for president this year - twice once as a Democrat and once as a Libertarian.

In his campaigns, he has criticised the military-industrial complex that shapes US policy and fought for "direct democracy" allowing ballot initiatives at the federal level so people can decide laws without Congress.

Gravel is a leading critic of the Iraq war and all pre-emptive wars, including war with Iran.

  • I'm partly surprised by Mike Gravel's assessment of Palin. He considers her intelligent?

  • hes the guy who made the most sense besides ron paul

  • thats why i stopped following gravel, he is sympathetic to the united nations and world government, carbon tax, etc. and even though at first glance, those seem to be good ideas but they fall short of the mark. come on, people don't need world government to make things happen, we don't need drastic moves like a carbon tax to get off of foreign oil.

  • Gravel's moustache looks creepy. But he's cool.

  • Foreign policy should be easy, everyone wants peace and prosperity. If we would have been working on these goals 40 years ago we might have a decent society today.

  • PART TWO OF THE QUESTIONS IS HERE

  • please please please put your self forward for the presidancy every four years until you get elected.

  • That is what you say now. That was not the case 250 years ago. In 250 years, people might think UN is necessary.

The point is, those who refused to have a federal government 250 years ago are proved wrong. What makes you think you are right?

  • We need a federal government.
