Maybe it was the great resemblance between King Leontes and Henry VIII of England but this version of the play seems to me a as a mixture of Pericles, Prince of Tyre and the second part of Henry VIII: The allusions are pretty obvious; the stern king thinking his wife unfaithful, the innocent queen being brought to public trial and the cast away daughter as the heiress to the realm; it is likely that Shakespeare does allude to Elizabeth and her father, considering his praise of her in Henry VIII.

WAIT - Do you have the entire play uploaded???

Some of the greatest Shakespearean verse lies within this play. My faves are Leontes: Give me the boy, I am glad you did not nurse him: Though he does bear som signs of me, yet you Have too much blood in him. Leontes: Bear the boy hence, he shall not come about her, Away with him! And let her sport herself With that she's big with - for 'tis Polixenes Has made thee swell thus. Sheer brilliance.
