Skybus Airlines has ceased operations as of April 5th, 2008. It was my pleasure to work for this airline in Punta Gorda, FL. This video has images from the first and last flight into Punta Gorda, as well as other photos of Skybus Aircraft. I will always remember my time working here.

I worked for Skybus, in fact I was working the inaugural (1st) Flight into Punta Gorda.
Sorry to the folks waiting for us to arrive, We the crew, had to switch aircraft at the last minute. But in regards to the last comment prior to mine, I;m sorry you felt we were all a joke. A lot of people cared about their jobs & tried to show our passengers that. If this airline were rexurrected by the ORIGINAL founder, I'd go to work for him in a HEARTBEA !!!!! I'm sure I am not alone in that .

Did people who took jobs at Skybus REALLY think they would have those jobs for much longer? Because the rest of us in the industry sure didn't. Not to be mean if you worked for them, but one of the issues with the whole industry is people willing to work for an airline like this. How is pilot pay on the Airbus at major airlines supposed to go up when theres a bunch of people willing to run and work for an airline that pays peanuts? Pretty hard to negotiate.

I worked the ramp operations in columbus. Im still in the airline industry in NJ, but the most fun I had was working Skybus at Port Columbus! Great crews and customers!!! Sorely missed!!!

I FLEW INTO PUNTA GORDA!!! I ate at the little diner next door and I love talking to the black lady with the poofy hair!

I liked Skybus a lot. Very friendly pilots to share the pattern with. Easy going. Its said to see them come and go sooo quickly.
