It is truly pathetic how someone can watch a clip not even 2 minutes long - a clip where kids are encouraged to not waste their lives, to be a positive influence in the world, to not listen to this culture that offers them only trash like reality shows and reckless lifestyles - and the only response you have is "stop shoving religion down their throats".

@armidons I think you have that backwards.......money is a tool of the corrupt for manipulating other people into slavery and warfare and whatever else gains them more power.

Just read your book "Do Hard Things." keep spreading your message.

@aoiahiru No, of course I am not putting down all of American culture. I'm American, after all, and I love my country. But it's disturbing to see a positive message like this be responded to with the attitude of 'don't push religion down their throats'.

Oh lord let these kids be kids. Why do you insist on shoving religion down there throats so young? Kids should be kids not predetermined robots with a belief system shoved down there throats that strangled us as kids!

justmom66, it seems that your experiences with religion have hurt you, and I'm very sorry about that. Nevertheless your personal biases seem to have blinded you.
First, you assume that all religious people are like the "religion" you experienced as a child -- which is definitely not the case.
Second, you assume that kids (in this case teens and young adults) are unable to make choices for themselves and are being forced into something -- again, completely false.

Third, you missed the fact that Alex and myself are ourselves "kids"... =)
Finally, you fail to realize that today "kids being kids" means all manner of destructive behavior -- both to themselves and to others.
In closing I'd like to encourage you to reconsider whether your past experience with religion is sufficient to shadow the rest of your life. I'd recommend that you read Tim Keller's book "The Reason For God" which is a thoughtful and fair treatment of the objections people have to God.
