  • @58tkdmike : Yeah, I'm no fan of Fox either, but I DO like Judge Napolitano. And you have to give credit to Fox on this breaking story. I'm sure the other networks would rather bury this one.

  • Go Utah! The Federal Government is becoming Big Brother. It's time that the States stopped bending over backwards for the Fed and selling their freedoms and property for Federal tax dollars!

  • This is a state fighting for its right to survive. Go Utah keep the UN Agenda 21 from kicking out every american into federally dictated prison cities.

  • @jddrafts I agree with that. Move a few of those that are overseas to our borders.

  • @bertly71 Dont forget the military bases (at least those in the US which are the only ones there should be) that we need.

  • The federal government is fat lazy not protecting our borders our deficit is at an all time high fighting against the states… Our federal government is destroying this country... Way to go Fox!!! You wouldn’t have seen that on any other news agency….

  • @mayblueotter, I like your point, I'd like to add a bit of philosophy -

One can only OWN what they have created. Since no man created the land, then they can only occupy it.

Money (the envy of) has messed our heads up. Because of the way we think of money, we believe we can buy trust, love, respect, status, ownership, control, power, enslavement, etc.

Money is merely a means of storing our labor.

  • It's nether state nor federal property.

    IT'S PUBLIC PROPERTY.

Who gave consent to barter the public's land away? If it wasn't the public (and that means EVERY individual representing themselves), then someone stole it (unless everyone in Utah now has millions in gold in lieu of compensation).

If as much as one individual said NO - than the deal is off (We're NOT a democracy.)

It's public land - no one owns it, no one controls it.

  • It is illegal for the federal government to buy/steal states land. The states own their own land. This might be connected to 'sustainable development' UN Agenda 21.

  • But what if you weren't fucking cowards? What if you didn't leave it up to the logic-devoid intellectual infants in the Federal Courts (and on the Supreme Court) to decide? What if you --with force of arms-- mobilized the people of Utah to lay physical claim to the land? Is there a backup plan in place to do this? If you do not have a deep libertarian philosophy behind your leaders, it will completely not work. Read the book "Molon Labe" by Boston T. Party to see what I mean.

  • America is in the process of breaking up, and I can not wait.

  • Don't get me wrong, this was very interesting but there are some issues. The map shows Native American Reservations in Utah as part of Federally owned land. This may be because the Tribes and the Federal government control law, but Utah has there say on these lands as well. Native peoples have a very similar case. Land is taken by Utah that was given as part of the reservation treaties. Not to mention the desecration of Federally recognized sacred sites this year(2010) which is against the law.
