Top little dive this, always used to find goodies in here, like watches, old coins, sometimes rings. Not anymore, since they build the new concrete access stairs. Good for getting in and out though. Last dive found a little cave at the back. Will sidemount a couple of seven's next time I go there and check it out. Lot's of leeches in here too so cover-up.

  • hey peter, iv been going to serpy for years and always wondered if you could tell me how deep it is there and how far down is tha cave from tha top of tha water at tha back of tha gourge?? .. hav always heard about the tunnel/cave but neva knew anything about it

    cheers

  • The pool is 8m deep these days. The entrance to the cave is at about 4m depth. It's not real big though, probably about the same as inside a small car, and full of silt. Turning around in there is a slow, careful process.

  • yr hired- i lost my signet ring given to me for my 13th.only thing is i lost it not at these falls .r u prepared to find it for me in a deep jungle of png.the falls were spectacular at the time.

  • Too bad it's so far away - I'd happily spend a couple of hours systematically picking my way around the bottom. Rings are harder than watches and sunnies etc anyway, you really need a rock ledge for dense items like rings and coins to get channelled into a deep groove, or a shallow sandy patch you can filter.

  • how deap is it there..... did you find anything worth ceeping on the bottom, aka gold necklases, a gold watch be any chance lol

  • 8m deep and yup, gold earings, coins, notes, watches, sunglasses, rings, etc, same as every popular swimming hole. Not sure where you are but here in Western Australia I hand it in to the cops and two months later I get it back with a receipt and then it's legally mine. Been handing stuff in for years and never had anything claimed yet - everything is given back.

    Peter
