  • following more thoroughly your & others on the MM site. I'm having a hard time explaining myself in these multiple little comment boxes....just sayin' I've been in a sort of rebellion/denial & in a way just 'waiting for my MM to hurry up & take me'. Isn't that lazy & inappreciative for ALL that I do have? I have some reflection to do. I suppose I have known this for a while-I just keep refusing (rebelling) in doing so. Thank you & God Bless you for all that you are/have done for others.

  • You've mentioned your son had SCI issues, but I guess I never realized to what extent. One of your recent posts on the blog mentioned your son (& a family picture) & his accomplishments. Noah is my inspiration. I admire & respect him to no end! I must now go back to your blog from the beginning to really check out your journey. No wonder Noah has such character--he's had a wonderful example in his father. I probably missed out on a lot of inspiration & ideas by not

  • I've not been thorough nor consistent in researching & reading through the journeys of my fellow MMr's. There's a variety of reasons---I think one being that I rebelled. My SCT didn't help me, but Revlimid did put me in a partial remission--but not before I came down with the effects of the spinal cord damage from the tumor/radiation/MM. So--I've rebelled that my main issue is the discomfort/pain/disability from the SCI. I've functioned as if I'd rather the MM just taken me at this point.

  • Oh wow, John, this is the first time I saw this video-essay of yours. Remarkable! Thank you for your recent note to my Myeloma Blog "Cindy's Multiple Myeloma Blog" (really creative name there....lol). You left me a link to 'CareCureCommunity' & I believe you indicated you'd done so before. I'm sure you have. I always check out suggestions/links offered by others like you--but somehow I must have missed this. I looked at it last night & found it very helpful. I've so much to read on it.

  • Thank you for this essay, thoughtful and beautifully expressed. Your perspective is a breath of fresh air. Next to the awkward, if well-meaning, remarks that usually accompany the revelation that I have cancer, your words are reassuringly serene.

  • Hope you are doing well. I too, have a type of blood cancer and this video gave me a whole new perspective....I did enjoy it.... thank you

  • Excellent! When death is nearer, life seems more valuable.
