@bearmassaro Agreed! Clever wordsmiths.

Difford & Tillbrook were the Lennon & McCartney of the late '70s/early '80s
-
the cool thing about Squeeze it that the harmonies are usually sung from a 1/3rd beneath, rather than above.

proud to be a SE londoner same as glen & chris awsome pop at its best thanks guys

Funny you should menton Split Enz as Crowded House were 'inspired' by this song on one of their tracks off of Wood Face.

@lalba07 yeah, me too, and I was a boy. Something so great about this high quality 80's pop that makes you keep chasing that initial crack hit.

One of my favorites from Squeeze but the speed is too damn slow from the original master...barely listenable like this.

oooh sound is more clearer...nice

@spikemoe1 was? I'm pretty sure he's still bad ass.

@SageStella Jools Holland was badass, mate.

Finally, the song volume loud enough to enjoy on this version. It must be cranked to fully appreciate it. So melodic, a song so catchy and great proving squeeze was one of the best of the 80's bands hands down. See also "Pulling Musells from the shell."

I can totally hear Split Enz doing this. You know that synthisizer 60's sound? Great band. Lead singer's a cutie!!! Loved him when I was a little girl...LOL
