  • Does it really make a difference weither its from a rolling start or at a dig, either way fro a dig yes you can have bad traction or a bad launch but what about from a rolling start when one of the driver miss shifts or the other driver starts off alot more quicker and not starting even,. Just because couple people cant launch right doesnt mean you cant race from a dig...Infact starting from a dig shows you are a better driver and have more skill then roll starts....

  • @masonizere True, but we compare CARS and not drivers.

  • The same result would have been if the CLK 63 AMG was put against the Lambo LP560-4. Watch m5boarddotcom's Ferrari 599 GTB vs Lambo LP560-4.

Yes, you can't have standing starts, the drivers are not all the same.

    Great races, thank you!!!!!

  • @Irvine5312x6ma True, standing starts are useless.

  • Ok so b/c ppl fuck up, should the NHRA do races from a roll???

  • It would eb a better comparison yes.

  • the answer is an idiot behind the wheel of 599 gtb. he missed the start. this thing can do 0-60 in less than 4 seconds for god's sake.

  • who cares the ferrari had a bad start or bad traction, look at how it came back and won

  • If a front engined Merc can leave it behind like that imagine what a rear engined Porsche or Ruf would do.

You can blame the driver of the 599 but this thing is renowned for it's inability to put the power down and it was also wet.

I don't think he messed up, you try to put 600+ bhp on the road in the wet from a standstill in that car.

  • Tell the Ferrari to use the R launch control

Unless his tires are cold then stand still really sucks.

  • Actually, standing starts would be a lot funner to watch, because slower cars could get the jump once in a while, and then faster cars would really show their pace at some high end speeds by overtaking them. If a driver a has slow reaction, that's his fault, not the CAR'S. Gtboard/M5 board should do both, standing and rolling.

  • @isiahlilman ZR1 only beat the GTR due to more power and less weight otherwise the ZR1 would been crushed

  • Comparing cars = rolling start or repeat tests w/the same driver

Comparing drivers + cars = standing start :)

  • why they clk driver didn't build up higher RPM simply step on breaks and gas and i think the gtb has a lunch control

  • I do not understand why these challenges, the mercedes pilot did not think can keep up a V12 5999 cc

  • What is that whine on the amg? Is that the transmission? It almost sounds like a kompressor.. which I know it isnt.
