So, I just got Darkfall yesterday, and I have to say I was skeptical at first. What I learned, however, is that pictures and Youtube videos do NOT do this game justice. No, it doesn't have the most amazing graphics out there, but they are not as bad as they appear in videos. Shadows and details are very nice, not to mention the little things are really cool, such as a flag waving in the wind or flocks of birds flying high in the sky.

About this video, however. I was just hanging out with someone I met who has been playing since release. I have to do a timed quest, but they give you plenty of time. We went to a goblin camp fairly far away because the one right outside of town had some jerk beating newbies up (as is the way of Darkfall). This game is just amazing. I played for many hours yesterday, had a TON of stuff to do, and barely scratched 0.01% of the world of Agon. The map in this game is MASSIVE. One of the few MMOs out there you literally get lost in.

Don't get the wrong idea, it isn't a completely barren wasteland. Wherever you go there are a lot of people, just spread out a bit more. A nice thing is that there aren't monsters EVERY step of the way. It definitely adds to the realism. I'll add more videos as I progress through the game, but I didn't do anything fancy with this one because I wanted to show the simple things in the game. Everyone dresses up their videos with effects and music, I don't really do that because my videos are more for people who are curious about the game and planning on playing.

Gotta hit someone, the reason I shot in the air was because I didn't want to accidentally hit my friend. Theres friendly fire in this game.

i'm coming after december WOO!! I'm a ex Ultima Online Player and been waiting for this moment since a long time. They really offer what i seek in online playing rpg. Also i played WoW, lotro and Aion and i'm very deceive. Those games are turning you into a slave.

Honestly, from what I've seen so far, it has to be the most addicting MMO I've ever played since my first MMO. The first MMO I played was Final Fantasy XI which was a huge timesink, and because of that it was so addicting.

While you are not forced to group in this game, with there being no true "levels" and absolutely no restrictions, you can play it forever and probably not cap everything (unless you play nonstop every hour of every day).

I see myself playing for a LONG time.

@619JS the game is designed that way to keep the nubs away, it is primarily a first person MMO, though you can go 3rd person if you want. Think of Darkfall as Elder Scrolls Oblivion / Skyrim... only multiplayer

how do you equip ur staff/bow/sword? i have to keep switching hotbar with shift, but i dont see u switching , what hotkeys did u assign? im having trouble with controls :\
