My brother and I made this time lapse video this past semester at Wheaton College, for fun. We played it at the annual Wheaton College Class Films event, which was very exciting for us. We took thousands of still pictures, adding up to about 80 gigabytes of raw images for over 70 different shots.

We primarily used a Nikon D5000 with the kit 18-55mm lens. However, we also managed to get a lot of shots using the Canon Powershot SD1200IS. We also used the Nikon D200 and Nikon D300 for a select few shots.

Music is "Rokysopp Forever" by Royksopp
Lenses used:
Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5
Tokina 12-24mm f/4
Nikkor 55-200mm f/4
Nikkor 50mm f/1.8

  • @dstiltner I think we took around 6,000 pictures, which means the shutter would have had to have opened and closed once for each picture.

  • this is really, really well made. very cool, thank you for doing that.

  • @wheatonbrando Thanks :)

  • Part of this was shot from my apartment!

  • great work! Can't wait to see what you do with some moco.. =)

  • Amazing video--simply luminous. Also made me homesick! Fifteen years after my graduation, kids are still streaming out of chapel, filing into SAGA, and coursing down the hill to the BGC.

  • Any idea how many times your shutter opened and closed?

  • @praise4HisGlory Hope to see you there! :)

  • @fordmodel15 me too... hope i can get in though

  • This is crazy cool:) I'm applying at Wheaton for Fall 2011 and this gave me a good look of the campus/area.

  • Sweet video! I like the song, too.

  • This is amazing!!!! Can't wait for next year at Wheaton!! This gave me chills :)
