  • thats where some of the electronical equipment is located (Thats my best guess from what i pieced together using the internet)

  • The DD40-x's were awesome. They were seen on East bound fast freights out of Los Angeles to Arizona.

  • @GranTurismo360 Since the locomotive is so long, it is a "passage" way to get from one side to the other.

  • @GranTurismo360 From what I remember reading, they had to run with the side doors open to help prevent the engines from overheating.
