The story is more fun? More like it's more nonsensical, contrived, and forced. The Enclave had no place in DC. Super Mutants were forced. Why is DC a fucking ruin 200 years after the apocalypse? I'm not bagging on the game to prove a point; I'm just expressing my opinion. I liked fallout 3, but going back to it now just feels....ugh. Also, I have no idea what you're talking about with New Vegas. I was questing the whole damn time and always had something to do. That's more than I can say for 3.

It doesn't belong because they got their asses kicked in Fallout 2. Their oil rig was blown sky high, the NCR slaughtered them at Navarro, and the most everyone else was exterminated by the western BoS. How do they still have a fully fledged force in DC after years of being beaten down and fleeing? It makes no fucking sense. The Enclave remnants in the Mojave reflect this point all too well. Bethesda could've done another interesting antagonist, but they just regurgitated what was already done.

''Because it wasn't hit by the nukes''. Good point, I've missed that one. I agree with those other two points of yours as well

Well I totally agree with you on this one, sniper rifles actually worked in New Vegas! There are a few gameplay improvements in NV, I've gotta admit it

It's sci-fi, a genre I love because in it many things are made possible while still being pretty ''realistic'', but when someone blows your brain out of your skull and you get resurrected... Don't you think that a line has been crossed? You tell me that, good sir

You're missing my point: I'm talking about how NV felt compared to FALLOUT 3, not to the first two chapters. Could you do me a big favor? Could you tell me what you think about the points I have mentioned please? I would like to know what you think about them

This can apply for certain games, in terms of ''monotony'' (because if you think about it, every single game is monotonous: in every game you have to do the same thing over and over again, there are no exceptions what so ever, the trick is in not letting anyone notice it)

It's not ''way past'', it's 4 years later Fallout 3, if I'm correct.

The developers have to be high when they think of a game or else the game turns out to be complete monotonous bullshit.
