We were suppose to make a fondant cake with fondant roses. I decided to make a sample cake for a wedding instead. After the cake was completed the flowers took away from the modern look. The top Tier is an Octagon homemade. I printed an enlarged shape and then cut the cake around it.

  • Did u make the moogram or did u buy it??? This is a BEAUTIFUL cake.....

  • That's the beauty of fondant. You can use it to do anything. It's like playdough. You can roll it out and cut out shapes or foll it into balls, or make figurines, 3-d flowers, just about anything you can think of. Give it a try. The possibilities are endless. There are lots of tutorials on you tube also. With Fondant, you get a much smoother finish than with buttercream. Good Luck and Congratulations on your wedding.

  • I like baking and decorating cakes never tried using fondant. I want to make my own small wedding cake for 20 people any suggestions.
