The Ganagobie is a very unusual experimental homebuilt aircraft designed and constructed by James Lobet. This plane looks like an over-sized model but, as you can see, is a full-blown aircraft.

James now lives in Tokoroa New Zealand where this footage was taken.

He also has a scale model of this aircraft powered by an OS twin-cylinder four-stroke engine which will be the subject of another video. Plans for the full-sized Ganagobie and several models are available for those feeling like something *very* different.

  • I bet he wouldn't like to have to climb out again like that if it was on fire.

  • when you fly your pride and joy, no matter what it is..you built it and flying it..you will always get deadshites or pc sim pilots to criticise you...paint job not immaculate, cause we cant afford 20.000,- to get a pro painting it, or...all those things to improve on it...or why isnt it faster.....etc..etc... I just say .."where is yours?"...Great plane my friend :-) Have flown a lot between paragliders and jets, and built a few over the decades..respect mate..you pulled it off !!! :-)

  • if it is able to carry a person, its an aircraft.

  • I'd at least put a turbo on it.
