put transcribe audio on. enough said.

you could also use a 1/4" drive, most of them will fit right in the chuck of a 3/8 drill
-
you had to measure the socket drive? neat idea though, but aren't those drills a bit slow for gas engines?
-
I went to the used too store and bought an old 1/2" extension and cut off the female end. the ball bearing socket lock stops the wobble.
-
I prefer to use a socket adapter as it holds on to the socket better when pulling off.

@radicalnegative1 this isnt the poor mans way its the smart mans way and u are right just pull back and it usualy comes off =3-

thats what she said

just use an impact driver to start them it works alot easyer

can you brake you wrist when starting a motor with a drill

when you do get it started, how are you gonna get the drill off the flywheel when it starts to spin at speed? it's gonna jerk the drill out of your hand

@snakesonaplane2 Usually since the crank will start spinning faster than the drill, I just pull back on the drill and everything comes right off.

lol just use an impact wrench, thats what i use

@mightywinston6 You can on newer engines, but on older ones like these, it will strip threads in a heartbeat.

you know you can get an adapter so you can use a socket on a drill right?

I tried a socket driver and in my tests it created too much friction and was too cumbersome. But you are right. You can buy adapters.
