You should also look up " Proto-PlayStation Move in the works before Wii, called PlayStation Wand " on Google lol.

Sony could salvage this.
create a affordable consumer version of this
Panasonic D-Imager

and slap an eye toy on it and it still works with move.
To make it better, make them able to network(use many without interference) and a use a gpu to process it in Parallel to reduce lag(GPGPU).

Facts are facts.
That video is a pitch for Sony to use 3DV systems Zcam.
Sony passed and didn't make the kinect.
Microsoft bought the tech and slapped a web cam(eye toy) on 3DV system's Zcam.
The kinect is now in the Guinness book of world records for how many units were sold.
Epic fail for Sony in not listening to their genius.
Look at windows and Mac.. Xerox PARC invented it in 1973 but the executives passed on it.

@krjcook i was just using the bluetooth and gyros as a simple example rather then explaining the whole point
-
@krjcook ...calculate points controls then they are basically the same thing and whatever came 2nd is obviously a copy, thats what im saying
-
@krjcook lol no coke pepsi!!! no seriously though, rum and percocets (i got a script tho, i was in a bike wreck in may and my backs fucked up so i got scripts for pain killers and what not) i got school exams too (working on my bachelors) but its the weekend so...:) as for the hardware, im not referring to the parts that make it up, im referring to the descriptions, if two things are described as a "remote/wand" that can track motion and relay the information to the system in order to...

@thrasha666 A little toasty huh? Lucky bastard, been wanted some rum and coke for sometime now, but I got college exams coming up and I'm not trying to touch anything. But yea you can't say it's a copy because its using bluetooth, because its just a connectivity standard. And you can't knock it by saying that it uses an accelerometer because there is not other way to sense a tilting motion.

@krjcook verbal was a poor choice of words, kinda drunk now so cant think of the word...the description of it i guess...the picture was a ball on a stick...but the description i saw basically said everything that the wiimote has and never mentioned the glowing ball until later, it originally mentioned it using bluetooth and the ball contained gyros (and didnt use eye) as opposed to now where its opposite
-
@thrasha666 What verbal patent? Hope your not talking about the tech demo that Sony had with the ball on a stick? Because that's MOCAP, which was in use well before sony. You say Nintendo copied Sony with design, but Sony didn't have a design. All they had was a BALL on a STICK. Nintendo didn't produce a BALL on a STICK, so I don't see how it's a copy.
-
@krjcook yes the visual patent, but the verbal patent described what it would do
natal is a piece of crap
