Paracord Fusion Ties - Volume 1: http://www.amazon.com/Paracord-Fusion... The "Secret Compartment Fob" is essentially a hexagonal version of the classic Crown (Knot) Sinnet. Capable of being tied as a cylinder (as shown) or as an elongated hexagon, the fob can hold money, a ferrocerium rod, or another emergency object. Now you have a secret storage compartment only you (and the people who've seen this video) will know about! P.S. At the end of the video there's an "Easter Egg".

JD, followed instructions exactly, however as the fob got longer the whole thing began to twist on me. Total length and it looks like a twisted Solomon Bar. All my crowning was done clockwise, not alternating. If I try to twist it back against where it wants to go, the piece looks more like a rectangular bar. Help???

I've given much thought to your craft, and I've noticed that you have an excellent eye and such precision that without a doubt I have a feeling that tells me that you would have been an excellent surgeon.

My only question is, how does a contractor, in this case you, become a knotter and also a writer?

Or what really came up first?

    - They arose mutually.... That is, nothing I do comes first and everything I do comes first. All aspects of my creative and professional work are expressions of who I am, and what I do. I am a man who works as a contractor, writes novels, paints. and enjoys tying and creating knots. As far as what was expressedd first? I suppose drawing (precursor to painting), but that was only on account I was about 2 years old at the time. *smile*

    - No problem... As an aside, so you know, 15 minutes is the length limit on YouTube videos.

this was much easier when you get a couple rows done... stick a pen or pencil in the hole and work around it... it will keep the shape of the FOB steady and make the pulling of the walls easier!

I have trouble because you go too slow. By the time you move on to the next step I forget the movement I just did

For all those struggling with the starting knot: The trick is to NOT tighten it all the way. just a little bit.

I thought the same thing, so i did it over a double A battery. Just leaves the knot a bit looser, so it works.
