Alias: Jack warns vaughn

About the warning signs of living with a double agent. Jack suspects lauren is a double agent, much like his wife irina was. One of the few bonding scenes for jack and vaughn.

Yeah...bonding...not so much.

But this scene is a perect example of why I don't really like Vaughn that much....I mean god...it's not a cake walk for Jack to be talking about Irina like that...with anyone...let alone Vaughn.

Sheesh way to be a jerk Vaughn.

Then agian I might just like defending my man Jack...because I pretty much love him. :)

I love jack too, vaughn really irritates me and gets on my nerves. I could of did without his character on Alias. I was hoping syd would hook up with will or sark(yes, I know thats a stretch.lol).

You've got to give Vaughn a little bit of credit, I don't think anyone would be very receptive while being treated as if their wife was betraying them. I am definitely not a Lauren fan and I absolutely love Jack, but it would not have been realistic if Vaughn had gone along with it...

@TatianaOnegina2 he always lets his emotions get the better of him..ok thats true of all Alias Characters perhaps from Sydney to Sloane and yeah its maybe true thats not a good enough reason to call him dumb but the thing is no other character boasts about how smart they are and then goes and commits the same mistakes again and again..im not saying i dont like him, I mean i sympathize with him and really felt bad when he died but i just think he was the least intelligent one

@TatianaOnegina Jack is the Dumbest Character in Alias, always made Critical Mistakes like accepting Irina again and again..whos the dumb one? Vaughn was right so many times unlike Jack, he investigated Irina while all the others were fooled by her..thats just one example

This scene was soo unexpected. But the reason Vaughn is unresponsive and antagonistic to his warning is because Jack and Vaughn are NOT in the same situation; there is a duplicitous spouse in each case, but that makes them similiar in a very superficial way. Jack should have appealed to reasonable doubt, and the ramifications of ignorance, instead of condemning both of their choices. Had it been detached and professional, Vaughn, while still being stuborn as hell, might have been more receptive.

I had issues with Vaughn too, I love Jack above all else things Alias. Difference is, Vaughn didn't really love Lauren, Jack did love Irina.

Another interesting fact is he says that Lauren is not Irina, she is, and he is not Jack, but he is. They both fall for women who betray them, they both care for Sydney above anyone else. Now, Jack sees the same traits in Vaughn that he had himself when he was being betrayed by Irina and he tries to warn him. Jack is actually concerned and he tries to spare Vaughn from the pain and emotional toll it took on him but we all know Vaughn goes a little crazy in the end. He should've listened.

Here's the funny thing. Jack sincerely tries to warn Vaughn and he doesn't take heed to this warning. Now we all know this blows up in his face. Now, he smarts off at Jack but Vaughn has this nasty trait of butting into peoples lives and warning them as well. I think that's the irony. He tells someone something they dnt want to hear and they blow up, just as he's done here.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one who had issues with Vaughn. I really tried to like him, but I just couldn't.
