Run on a real Commodore 64C with Final Cartridge III Desktop. Composite video and audio output captured via a Sony Digital8 Handycam with "A/V In -› DV Out" streaming via FireWire to WinDV on my ThinkPad.

  • if you can, please make a video of the Deus Ex Machina demo

  • @allboutk I use a real C64, so I would need to get an XU1541 interface cable before I can download anything from the Internet and then use it on the C64.

  • Would it be possible to play Commodore 64 on a standard home PC with an emulator? It seems to work for NES, SNES, N64, and Playstation

  • @talldude123 Yes, there are emulators available, but of course I prefer the real thing!

  • As intriguing as this demonstration may be, I found myself nearly in tears after reading Suraklin's message at the tail end of the video; it reads like a suicide note in some parts. Eerie.

  • @talldude123: Real men don't use emulators! :p

  • Music by Zyron :)

  • even the computer makes the mistake of saying 'could' care less...it's couldn't, computers...what do they know

  • wow - that desktop on the c64 looks very simular styling to Amiga OS! awsome :)

  • @jedw Well damn, you're right. I didn't even notice it until I saw your comment, good catch.

  • @vwestlife Assuming you have a North American NTSC C64, it wouldn't run right anyways.

As far as transfering, I bought a ZoomFloppy interface board a few months ago, which allows the 1541 to connect via USB to my PC. It's probably the simplest way to connect if you don't mind parting with $40.

  • does anybody else hear pink floyds "saucerful of secrets" (end section) in the first tune?

  • Damn, I wish a cheap genlock would show up so I can have an output for my A3000.
