When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892--1984)

  • strong production, i sense wisdom when i watch your stuff. Thank you

  • right on...thanks man...

  • I fear that the US won't do anything to help the folks in Burma...if it won't yield oil, bush isn't interested, it seems. Right on, Freesouljah. Dude, you are a very deep thinking soul. Thank you for sharing.

  • yeah...the sad thing is that the US might only help because of the oil in burma...and the fact that china has their hands on the oil production, and their influence continues to grow...

    thanks for watching... :D

  • Excellent comparison: war and organized dog fights!

    Finding a way to get people of differing faiths together for a humane cause is, in my opinion, a step toward world peace!

    Spiritual people of Earth! Unite! Stop all war!

    Peace

  • yeah...they are pretty similar...I love my dogs, so I would never let somebody like bush order them into a dogfight...I can only imagine how mothers and fathers of soldiers must feel about their children in war...

  • hippie-dippie-doo needs to pick up the pace a bit. is this guy a deadbeat or what ? whaaaaa. modern man has citizenship and certain loyalties. others have problems of their own. drop what you're doing folks, fly on over to asia and straighten up their mess for them. bring dope.

  • just needed to see this message again after Christian Amanpour's report on Buddhist Warriors, of course warriors of peace. Dalai Lama has such character and inner peace through all the chaos. It is so inspiring it makes me think of getting involved...any IDEAS how peace and compassion can win against violence and aggression?

  • Hey man, been meaning to ask for a while... what's the music in the background? Powerful video, I really like the idea of "souls without borders". Take care

    -Tom

  • Yep, right after I wrote that comment to you I saw on MSNBC that Burma does in fact have oil..I should have realized that if bush was mentioning Burma it would only be because of oil resources. Makes me ill to think that the only countries that matter to bush & co. are those with resources he wants. As always, you thoughtful vids are always spot on!

  • global demonstrations in favor of the people of burma could help put the pressure on them...
