Students from three cities of Pakistan were asked what they knew of the events of 1971, when Bangladesh came into being. Most of the answers were surprisingly incisive and well-informed. This video was first published on www.bbcurdu.com

  • musalmaan bhai....!!! haaa LOL

  • Actually, the news of the genocide in Bangladesh by the Pakistan army has been suppressed for years in Pakistan. It is the fashion in Pakistan to blame India in this situation because the people have been unfortunately brainwashed by state revisions of history.

  • @manhornz Sharmila Bose is not qualified enough and her process of research is not only at fault but it can be easily debunked as it had already been by recognized scholars. She was not there. I was.

  • @manhornz there r more Bengali hindu indians than Punjabi sikh Indians. Bengali hindu Indians define India more than Punjabis. These Bengali hindu Indians had more issues with Muslim Bengalis since 1757. You probably don't know what happened in 1757, do you? If you don't then don't come up with your childish arguments. Learn it yourself first, then try to educate others.

  • @manhornz are you educated enough?I am asking you because of the reason you are giving Sharmila Bose sainthood. If your theory is true then every single Punjabi Indian sikh would be on Pakistan's side, not India's. Bengali does not mean they have no reason to go against Bangladesh.Bengalis from West Bengal,India have traditionally been against the MuslimBengalis of Bangladesh, much before West Pakistanis even got to know there exists a Muslim race among Bengalis. You certainly dont have knowledge.

  • @randominitializer

First, I agree with you that minorities should not be persecuted but I ask you delete your post unless you have the exact book and number from Dawud b/c posting anything you find without concrete evidence of where it was written isn't good practice (you can't be sure this is an actual sahih hadith)

Furthermore, again you need to check out Sharmila's book "Dead Reckoning" - most of those murders were at the hand of the Mukti Bhani not the Pak army:

  • @randominitializer

I agree that there were a lot of unnecessary deaths but the story of mass rapes and murder of women/children is a total fabrication and lie.

Read Prof. Sharmilla Boses paper new book " Dead Reckoning" - she is Bengali and she lives in India she had no reason to write this other than to eradicate the lies.

It was disgusting what happened but to blame the Pakistani Muslims of today is equally repugnant.

Muslims should be working together to reestablish the Khilafah.

  • Yaar, bengali pakistan se khush nahi the, ismein india kahaan se aa gaya. besides, if we wanted them to separate, we could have done this long back.
