  • Up to the part where Maul kicks Obi-Wan's lightsaber down the shaft, this is one of the most bad-ass fight scenes I have ever seen. But the last minute or so sucks. Maul suddenly becomes completely incompetent; instead of using Force push or lightning, he just swings his lightsaber making sparks. And the way that Obi-Wan wins is even more unsatisfying when in Episode 3, the person with the higher ground has the edge. I love the rest of the fight, but the ending could have been WAY better :-(

  • I HAVE THE HIGH GROUND MY ASS!

  • best fight in star wars

  • @bumblefritz

Yeah, treat him like they did in Episode III, kill him off when he only had about 4 minutes of screentime, the instead of Grievous *piss on him too* it would be Obi-Wan vs Darth Maul in the rematch that everyone has waited for, THEN obi-wan can slice him in half

  • how ironic, obi wan dies by getting cut in half too

  • Someday, Obi-Wan will pay for what he did to Darth Maul.

  • @UltraGamemaster Amazing what sheer badassery can do huh?

  • @anakinfan8 I agree, but I always thought Darth Maul should have stayed and they say piss on Dooku, that character sucked anyway (at least just keep him as a minor character. The main villain in II??? WTF??!!). Maul dies in III and Anakin essentially takes his place as Palpatines apprentice.

  • gotta give maul some props.cut in two and falls down a shaft and he survives and gets off planet.unbelievable.

  • You know what I think George Lucas should have done? He should have kept Qui-Gon and Darth Maul for the rest of the prequels, but kill Qui-Gon in Episode II, and have Obi-Wan take over Anakin's training, and Darth Maul killed in Episode III (Darth Maul replacing General Grevious) just so the fans (and George) could both be happy

  • @MADSTORMZ

But the original films were already made, so what decision did George Lucas have? *coughcoughmakeabettermoviecoughcough*

  • @TheUnseenMovieLover

Yeah! Maybe Obi-Wan could have stabbed Darth Maul and they were able to bring back to the rest of the prequels, instead of killing off his first (and last) screen apperance. That was the worst decision I've seen since Schumacher called dibs on Batman.
