The purpose of Monday's (February 7, 2011) meeting was for victims of one of the worst train tragedies in U.S. history to share their personal stories with company executives who employed the engineer who caused the crash.
We were given hard ground rules as conditions by Veolia for them to attend. One condition is that they would not answer questions, much to my chagrin. Also, no media, not recordings and no videos in the meeting.
Even with those conditions, I believe it was important for Veolia to meet eye-to-eye with the victims.
