This piece brings me into the Egyptian world, watching all the peasants build the pyramids as the sun sets into dusk! Wow!

Hey, I played that song on my pedal harp in a talent show and won. Great song, good job playing it!

Thanks :) I see the same things!

Nice piece. And I can see Rita Haworth. Or Yvonne de Carlo, Rhonda Fleming or Arlene Dahl in some 1950's Arabian flick with cheap sets and hammy acting. But hey, they're all fun. Great job!

Any tips for playing this song? What key is it in?

Hmm...the only tip I'd give anyone is make sure the glissandos are in the time and rhythm indicated. It's really not in a "key" per se, it's kind of in a weird, harmonic minor sort of mode.

This is in a collection called "The Magic Road" by Nancy Gustavson. You can find it online at Lyon and Healy's website.
