These guitar players are in the same league with anyone at any style of any time.
-
Randolph's solo definitely reflected "Yakkety Sax" which Chet Atkins had also covered as "Yakkety Axe." Gallopin' Guitar is pretty similar to that song.
-
If you are encluding all guitar players then these guys are not even in the race because flamenco guitar players are in another league.

@MrCarlHaynes It really amazing the influence Jerry Reed had on Chet Atkins. That influence was passed down to John Standefer. I think the old man was #1 period, but I tell you, Roy Clark was no slouch by any means! Hard to take anything away from any of these guitar players.

without a single doubt Chet Atkins tastes best.
-
Im goin Roy Clark 1, Chet 2, Reed 3....

Don't see talent like this getting together anymore... Unless you count Rascal Flatts and Justin Beiber?? Bahahahaha!
-
Chet and Roy...Los Indios Nashville.

Always get confused with the Texas Playboys, and .Eddy Arnold, the Tennessee Plow- boy!!

YES!!! But, you still had the courage and honesty to give a thumbs-up. I wonder why it's so loud and up front.
I agree with you, it's a distraction. Even more so now that you mentioned it!! : >)
It aint hard to tell who the#1 Guitar Player ever was!
Chet was #1,
Jerry Reed #2
Roy Clark #3

At this level of professionalism trying to decide who's best is a little like trying to decide whether an apple, orange, banana or strawberry tastes better.
