Does A Born Again Christian Need A Bible?

This video has been done in response to some on u-tube who say that the saints of God have no need of a Bible. I happen to disagree!
Men of God died that we might have the Bilbe we have today. How can some say that it is of no account. A dear sister pointed out to me something I overlooked in this video..that the early churches had the letters of Paul, which were and are scripture.

Amen. We must know the bible. This is how we HEAR from HIM. We read HIS words and are filled. Jesus read scripture. Are we better than Jesus? No way. Jesus LIVES in the scriptures. I pray those who are spreading lies wil REPENT. They say one does not have to read the bible they need to pray only to Jesus. Well, how did they know this? Did they read the bible? When I got Saved, I felt the positive urge to read the Bible for the first time (many people think reading the Bible makes you Christian, that's not true). What was once gibberish, finally said something. It was as you said; a treasure that you didn't know how to open, but now you finally could.

In countries where it is illegal to have a bible the believers yearn deeply to have just 1 copy for their family .And when they get a bible many will memorize as much as they can and get it in their hearts.They know its GODS WORD.Wycliffe Translators spend years understanding a difficult language so a tribe may have the WORD OF GOD! And when we get it they cry tears of joy.They would be horrified to hear some say its just 'a book and not Gods Word'.Some should read the live of Tyndale !

Jesus relied on and lived by the Word and quoted it many times .Paul said to a pastor 'PREACH THE WORD'.I will stand with Jesus and with Paul and preach the WORD OF GOD.I will live according to the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD.I will never ever deny the Word of God.I will not rely on an inner voice or special new revelation! It grieves me deeply to see jusy how many follow those who seem super -spiritual while denying the scriptures.I thought I would never see this-great video.Bro.David.

Perhaps these people are not Spirit-filled, and don't understand the Bible. It's all gibberish to them and means nothing to them. Therefore they don't understand what it's good for, or what use it is of for others.

@misteRiOuZz100 - Of course it is our Saviour Jesus Christ who paid the sacrifice for our sins, that we might have eternal life, and He is the Word. The scriptures however were that which men died for that we might read them. It pleases God by the foolishness of preaching them, to save many a soul. So we must never discount the written scripture, that we are so bountifully blessed to be encourged by. Of course we need the Holy Ghost, if we have not of the Holy Ghost we are none of His.

I have yet to hear anyone on u tube say we should neglect the scriptures. I have heard them say that being led by the holy spirit must not be replaced by bible reading. I agree wholeheartedly! I love the scriptures but I love the word of God much more. The word of God is what he speaks to me with his voice on a daily basis. One day I may not have the blessing of the written scriptures but I have the author living in me. For now my bible is the greatest possesion I own.
