I had two Hayman kits a blue with a 22" kick but traded it for a silver with 24", which I still regret selling in the early nineties.

the best hayman had bill bruford arround '71 '72...the sound the colour everything! and he could damn play that drums!
-
These are the lower end drums. Some people think that Hayman drums are re-produced now to replicate the sixties models. The lugs are different looking, but these drums which sound like they are tuned properly sound good.

It might be a Premier "doughnut" head. It is what Premier used then. Remo black dot is a solid dot.

I like this open, resonant sound! These are new Hayman's right? I have a 1968 Hayman kit called Vibrasonics, 20,13,16. They were modelled on the ludwigs whichwere coming into the U.K at the time. 3 ply shells (mahogany but not sure) with reinforcement rings & painted white inside. In my opinion they sound better than any ludwig vintage kit I've heard, Bowie's drummer used them for a while, so did Mitch mitchell before his Ludwig endorsement and Bonham also had a kit.

@tonerxx11 Hello from Bill - I don't know where the kit comes from! I would suggest
it was made in Taiwan, but there is no manufacturers identity on the badges. The
badge says the shells are 'Maple'. I think George Hayman copied the Camco designed kits for his 1960s 'Vibrasonic' drums. I wasn't a lover of George Hayman's
kits, but, I did have a 'Vibrasonic' 14x5 snare drum that tuned beautifully.

This kit sounds awesome, man, really "resonant": is it because of the tuning or it's a matter of skins used?
(Not to mention your touch, obviously, great drumming! :D)

@unmadebedofficial Hello from Bill, thanks for the comments. The kit is an unusual
set of drums. I think its made in Taiwan or Korea? As for the tuning, well they are as loose as can be! bear in mind, the kit is set up in a very small room and so they will sing! the heads are basic factory heads. the kit was bought for about £200 new and i sold them on for about £75, i think. cheers from Bill

what skins do you use on your floor toms?

I think the floor tom head is a black dot Remo. I gave the kit to a lad that I teach.
