@N I think it is fair to say any understanding of human behavior which does not take into account the unconscious is a dangerous misunderstanding and the very reason why humankind is so easily manipulated, keeping us unconscious (powerless), yet we stick with this belief, the real problem, started by Rousseau, then taken to the extreme with B.F. Skinner, that external (behavioral) factors are both the source of all problems and their panaceas. No. Emancipation=understanding the real problem.
