  • No matter how many covers are done of this song... Tommy's is always best. :D

  • I would rather listen to tommy playing my guitar, than me playing his.

Not only "talent", but consider the amount of time the masters have put into trying to increase their skillsets to the point of near perfection.

I respect TE for his incredible musicality, but moreso because of his devotion to making music than anything else. Anyone who puts an enormous amount of effort into improving anything should be respected, even if they're not divinely good at it yet.

"Omg i bettr thn tht!!" = narrow minded point of view.

  • As far as i'm concerned 90% of tone is in the fingers. Give Tommy a $50 piece of crap and he'll still make it sing. Give Michael Shumacher a Nissan Micra and he'll still kick your arse on a race track. It's about talent. No amount of money can buy that.

  • @ubernaffa and no matter how many times I watch this, it never gets old.

  • @squeens187 no shit! :)

  • I'm trying to learn this, and he makes it look so easy!

  • my 1500.00 Tak plays great. I've been told it plays great compared to guitars worth a lot more. Tommy just makes it look too easy.

  • Another way to make a bad guitar sound good is to run it out through an effects processor and amp.

  • A good quality guitar doesn't have to be $4000. Many makers put out good quality guitars in the $300 to $800 range. When you go to buy a guitar and budget is your main concern, go somewhere where they have a LARGE selection. Spend the whole day there, and try them out side by side over and over. Do not let the sales person try it out for you. They will sometimes make a cheaper guitar sound bad on purpose in order to convince you to buy the more expensive model.
