www.biobees.com This swarm had moved into the space below the roof of a hive - something of a surprise as I lifted the roof off before I noticed them. They were not happy to be disturbed, but forgave me when I shook them into the top of the hive.
This hive design is compatible with the Warre system, and has been adapted to use top bars, half-Dadant frames or semi-frames. They are also part of my 'Pagoda Hive' design: each box being exactly half of the length of the Pagoda brood box.
