  • when the two boys get picked up on the highway by the fella in the chevvy, were they going the wrong way?

  • MOON that spells love it!!

  • Realistically portraying the mentally handicapped is one of the hardest things to do as an actor, much less a writer. I felt the character of Tom Cullen didn't quite convince in the book, and missed the mark here even more.

I wonder how many directors and writers have ever had extended personal contact with an autistic or retarded person, much less personally cared for one.

  • WOOT DENVER COLORADO REPRESENT!!!

  • Its weird. Title card says 50 miles west of Pratt. They ran west out of town away from Shawnee Smith but when they are standing on the side of the road the sign behind them says WEST, meaning they were traveling EAST and Ralph was going West. Seems ole Nick and Tom got turned around somehow

  • They should really make The Stand into a 3 part epic film, three different 3 hour films, kind of like Lord of The Rings. That way they could leave in all the violence, sexuality, etc. and also keep in most of the storyline and character development from the book. This TV series is okay, M-O-O-N, that spells okay, but doesn't really do the book justice. Do it right; big budget, great actors, great director. Most of the screenplay is already in the book, maybe King could adapt it himself.

  • @Krisnadhuaja In the book, Lloyd Henreid's character was introduced where he was in the midst of a murderous crime spree with a character named Poke. They robbed liquor stores, killed men, women, children, stole cars. Poke did all the killing, and whenever he did, he'd plug a hole in someone and say they'd been "Pokerized."

  • what does pokerized means?

  • 'moon' that spells makes me laugh

  • 14.59 "King"...As in "Crimson King" or "Stephen King". :) Ah Stephen, you 'ol joker...
