NOM's back with more misleading ads, and http://Stop8.org is ready to take 'em on. NOM is pretending to be annoyed at Iowa judges for "ignoring the will of voters," but since when did voters get a say in trials?

  • @snake6483 Too bad Dr. Rick Fitzgibbons is not part of the American Psychological Association which all (some 150+ scientists) UNANIMOUSLY AGREED that Gay marriage should be approved and BEING GAY is NOT a choice NOR is it a psychological disorder. Dude..honestly? Grow up, you're blabbering hatred like a 5 year old.

  • @snake6483 Being gay is not a choice. You're going around in circles dude. Homophobia leads to that negativity

  • @snake6483 There. Got some info for you since you don't want to go out and get the research done yourself. This is a starting place. At least we got something in common though, you being black and me being Mexican we both know how crappy things can get with a lot of people. I'm surprised our species still looks at race first and individuals second. You gotta agree that the human race pretty much sucks =/

  • @snake6483 Dr. Rick Fitzgibbons says there is evidence that homosexuality is itself a manifestation of a psychological disorder accompanied by a host of mental health problems, including "major depression, suicidal ideation and attempts, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, conduct disorder, low self-esteem in males and sexual promiscuity with an inability to maintain committed relationships."

  • @snake6483 Homosexuals in the United States and Denmark - the latter of which is acknowledged to be highly tolerant of homosexuality - both die on average in their early 50's, or in their 40's if AIDS is the cause of death. The average age for all residents in either country ranges from the mid-to-upper-70s.

  • @snake6483 While the article suggested that homosexuals may be pushed to substance abuse and suicide because of anti-homosexual cultural and family pressures, empirical tests have shown that there is no difference in homosexual health risk depending on the level of tolerance in a particular environment.

  • @vidhead85 You're doing it wrong. Being gay and being black are two completely different things, one is a choice, the other isn't. If people don't have what it takes to handle the pressure that will obviously come then why try to convince them that there is no other way? Telling people there is no choice leads to hopelessness, that contributes to the negativity. There is more to it but it doesn't seem like you've taken the time to educate yourself with it all yet.

  • @snake6483 No way dude! You think you're helping the negativity but you're only contributing to it. Go straight and avoid the problems? yeah...that's like telling me I should be white and I won't have to deal with the problems of how society looks at black men...same struggle same fight...civil rights are mine regardless of how different I am from another--equal protection under the law doesn't mean that I'm having to be the same to enjoy the same protection

  • @vidhead85 A whole bunch of stuff brings forth negativity. Instead of lying to them saying there is no way to change what you should be doing is telling them they have a choice, persevere through the objections or go straight to avoid the problems. That choice will undoubtedly save lives. It's also truth. Lost that battle? You have completely accepted and are holding onto a lie. You seriously need to read that stuff I gave you and others like it.

  • @snake6483 Stop trying to dilute this by saying that gays aren't the only ones who need help. Like I said gays are the only minority that gets routinely rejected from their homes. Just because homosexuality is 'not an issue' in some countries doesn't mean that internalized homophobia and familial homophobia doesn't bring forth negativity....you lost that battle dude
