The Republic of Georgia is the ancient land of the Golden Fleece, at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and the Middle East on the shores of the Black Sea. The 90 dancers and musicians of the Georgian State Dance Company faithfully preserve the country's folk traditions. They evoke a world of medieval kingdoms and mountain strongholds, with courtly ceremonies, harrowing athletic feats, and lightning swordplay in which sparks literally fly from the clashing blades.

Once again, that's Dance St. Louis presenting the Georgian State Dance Company on Friday, October 12th at 8 PM and Saturday, October 13th at 2 PM and 8 PM at the Touhill Performing Arts Center.
