Intel needs an equal sparring partner otherwise they'll go back to releasing more crap like in the past.

@Paxmax yeah its funny and very informative to... who knew that the itanium chips can double as a stove..... and yes the opteron is better compared to the intanium, and much better compared to the current xeon line ups.. go AMD..

@hootis8 We'll see... only time will tell, but the Opteron has been abondened really, and is failing. AMD keep losing money. I miss the Athlon days, back then all AMD products were awesome, but they lost it, regardless of if you like it or not.

Running Dual Italy 285 E6's, 248 CG's and building a Dual Shanghai 2380 C2 here and yeah Opterons have one thing in common they never crash even when highly stressed, they just remain cool and do their thing.
