The movie is an adaptation from real life events that happened at the Battle of Longewala fought in Rajasthan (Western Theatre) during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and Bangladesh Liberation War. It is about how a band of 120 soldiers of the Punjab regiment of the Indian Army headed by Major Kuldip Singh Chandpuri successfully defended their post all night against a whole Tank regiment of the Pakistani Army, until assistance came from the Indian Air Force the next morning. The film was a critical and commercial hit in India.

India lost only 2 soldiers in this battle & Pakistani High Command made some blunders and they were also completely occupied in East Pakistan sector.
It is not wise to call another soldier impotent. War is young men dying and old people talking.
I am Indian and I love my country and I know how our own asses were kicked in 1962 and it was a wake up call for the whole country and that loss did not make our soldiers impotent.

I was born in Pakistan, was an Indian descendant. First of all India or Pakistan are not advanced coutries concedered. They have educational, and financial problems within their coutries. Please be nice to each other, and do not pass hate speaches. I love Indians and Pakistanis at the same time. Please work to build India and Pakistan. We need trade, business , construction, and job oppertunities. We need more and more civil awareness and education. Thank you all Love for India and Pakistan.
