@blindervideoman I entered the serial number of the V1 on their website and it's $189 for the upgrade. I'll do it eventually, and for long trips I'll run both. If Mike V's wife answers, I'll ask to speak with someone else. I've had enough of her.
@BoysBigToyz Laser will only be picked up by the V1 if they are shooting at you specifically or if it bounces off other vehicles in front (laser scatter.) It also depends on mounting location. What version are you running on your V1 and what mode does it have (POP, etc.) and have you turned anything off manually (X band, etc.)? The new software upgrade will probably fall between $130-180 most likely depending on what your software is. I heard it is definitely worth it.
@blindervideoman Yep, my V1 probably needs an upgrade as it did not pick up laser and the X band from 5 troopers with which I eventually made eye contact. The Redline did not pick up instant on, but by that time I had already seen the trooper behind trees. Using both, the Redline and the V1, both went off as a car in front of me was being pulled over in a school zone. After I passed the the cop, the Redline gave me three more beeps. I sent the picture of my truck - Thanks
@BoysBigToyz I understand, it can get real tough to get a good installation on some vehicles without either looking horrible or having to do some custom work. The Redline is a great performing radar detector. V1 just came out with some new software that is supposed to be better than the 9500ci and 9500i, etc.
@blindervideoman Thanks - but the only problem I have is that my F-150 has a mesh chrome grill. I can either cut the grill - ouch! or get another grill that is not chrome. I have a picture of the truck on my mac but obviously I can't send it on you tube. I will be going back to Florida in January and I will take it to a radio place and look at all options. Oh, and the escort Redline works great. Picks up all bands including laser at long distances.
@BoysBigToyz The best dealers I can tell you are either MegaMaxx in Marietta or Digital Car Audio. Digital Car Audio has locations in Roswell, Duluth, and Lawrenceville.
@BoysBigToyz Haha. Yea, cover all angles with those two.

@BoysBigToyz They are also a very good laser jammer. They are a little more expensive though, but well worth the money.

@blindervideoman Thanks - I'll see If I can find reviews on their work. I am also looking at the Laser Intercepter.
