lol....this is my first [crappy] try on an acceleration take for my '87 ae82 fx16 gt-s. ill try again soon and mount the camera so its not so shakey. no, its not an ae86 with a 4agze. but this lil guy is fun to throw around corners. in this vid i shifted to early and didnt really open it up all the way. steering, shifting, and shooting cam is realy hard to do with 2 hands. love the car tho. plus, its a corolla =]

  • still a fun car to throw around corners :]

you can abuse them all you want, and they just take it.

  • i like how u call it a 1600 instead of a 1.6L lol. makes u sound bigger than u really r.

  • hehe. 1600 =]

tis indeed 1600 cubes in there, damascus.

but yea. on the valve cover, even toyota found it appropriate to put "1600" in bold, black print.

be proud of those cubes :] they work hard.

and the toyota 1.6 is without question one of the world's most reliable engines ever put into production. so, talk it up =]

  • weak...my FX16 redlines and has twice the power

  • she has lost some compression, but like i said in the details i didnt keep it open all the way.

is your fx16 stock or does is have the 4agze?

  • omgsh. dangerous much. haha.:P

  • hahahah just a wittle bit =]

  • @tacomatrdsport2591 lol true that. Very reliable

  • if anyone has this instrument cluster in MPH lemme know ive been searching for this exact one.

  • lol I have a piece of shit Corolla too (referring to it's power) although I like how it sounds like I got VTEC when I floor it lol.

  • @damascusmotorsports that is on the valve cover asshole it says toyota 1600 16 valve on the valve cover same with the v6 from a toyota seiena it says v6 1600 and some other info i foregot but now your bigger than you really are

  • The challenge is getting it to 80. lol jks.

  • @tacomatrdsport2591 hey mate type in "twincam" on youtube and you will see these car's are loved in ireland we use them for "diffing" have a look if you have time :)

  • @WhatIsMyNameDamnIt Definitely. I own an 87 E82 LE and it's the best car in the world to me. My engine is a 4ALC (likely of the 78HP ilk), so it's not the most powerful car on earth (it tops out at 94 on level ground), but it's decently quick, fun to drive, steady in any direction (even sideways), reliable, cheap to operate (with all the fixes I've done to it, it's still cost me less than $2000), and gets 40 miles a gallon. Great little cars.

  • You really shouldn't slip your clutch that much, actually, you shouldn't slip it at all. In fact, the engine in your car has so much low end torque that it's easier to operate the clutch properly than most vehicles.

  • wtf take it to 7500!

  • wot happend to the redline?
