American Libraries Associate Editor Pamela A. Goodes interviews Jamal Joseph, who delivered the Arthur Curley Memorial Lecture. Joseph details his personal odyssey, from joining the Black Panthers and time in federal prison, to becoming an author, playwright, and college professor, the upcoming book Panther Baby: A Life of Rebellion and Reinvention.
