li ho sentiti nel 1972 a varese facevano da spalla ai jethro tull....erano meglio del gruppo famoso

lol guys I faced the same problem. The word 'awesome' is far from being enough to describe what I just heard.

The people who don't like this are just muso's who decided to give it all up after seeing this!
What we dislike actually tells us more about ourselves......! GG are THE greatest rock band ever. Only the Beatles produced finer stuff (in composition and volume only) but were never as flamboyant musicians. Neither were Crimson, Floyd, Genesis, LedZep, Camel, Tull, DP, Soft Machine, Caravan, Yes (even them!) Rush, Steeley Dan, 10CC, Queen - none of those bands were as accomplished all round as GG!

thick as a brick 2 and clockwork angels soon ,so the current state of music is not that bad

I don't believe that there is any way that someone can't like this.Be neutral certainly, but dislike it,I can't see it.

It's only a matter of time before some 13 year old metallizes this and calls it "Djentle Giant." A pox on the current state of rock music.

@thatbennyguy most definitely. Genre is meaningless. To me, there is just music with soul/intelligence/creativity on one hand, and music without soul/intelligence/creativity on the other. I'd put MF in my top 10 lyricists of all time, whereas I'd place Gentle Giant right next to Floyd, King Crimson, Cream etc, in my top 10 Psychedelic rock projects.

@vishiquals yeah true, I read the history of the band, it's pretty sad, buthe guitar player Gary, organ player kerry, and one of the older drummers actually still play in three friends. But besides that i heard the other band members are out of practice. It's very unfortunate, the comercial world literaly took a huge dump on one of the most creative years in human history. Its sad, but rock can never truelly die. At least we have youtube.
